Natural Antibacterial Mouthwash

If you’re still using conventional mouthwashes like Listerine that contain alcohol, hydrogen peroxide or chlorhexidine, Daily use may be harming your oral microbiome but in the long term, they could be making your breath worse.


2 tsp baking soda
½ cup filtered or distilled water (find the best water purification systems here)
2 drops tea tree essential oil (find 100% pure essential oils here)
2 drops peppermint essential oil


Baking soda will settle to the bottom of the jar when not in use, so be sure to shake your homemade mouthwash before each use. Swish about 2-3 teaspoons of this homemade formula in your mouth for a minute or two. As with any mouthwash, try to avoid swallowing this while gargling.

Ginger & Mint Herb Mouthwash


Ginger root/Peppermint /Turmeric /Cinnamon


Add everything to about 2 to 3 cups of water in a pot on the stove.
Bring to a low simmer.
Let simmer covered for 25-30 minutes. Keeping in mind that the longer you let it simmer the spicer it will become.
Taste periodically and simmer longer if you’d prefer a stronger flavor, but not going past 45 minutes.
Strain through a very fine strainer into a glass jar.
Let cool and store in the fridge for up to three weeks.

The baking soda mouthwash

  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup of aloe vera juice
  • 2 teaspoons of baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon of Celtic sea salt or pink Himalayan sea salt
  • 2 drops of peppermint oil
  • 1 drop cinnamon oil (optional)


  1. Mix ingredients in a glass container and shake well.
  2. You’ll have to shake with each use.
  3. Store in the fridge up to three weeks.

Mouthwash with apple cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is a magical liquid which solves many health problems. Apart from losing weight, you can use it in mouthwash as well. It can works as a mouthwash effectively.


This is the simplest method to make a mouthwash. All you need is apple cider vinegar and water to make this mouthwash. Take two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and one cup of water. Mix them well. When you mix water into apple cider vinegar, the vinegar gets diluted which makes it harmless for the teeth.
